So this was the start of week two. Ninety seconds running, sixty walking. Glorious morning, weather-wise. Had it not been I would have gladly sacked it off and stayed in bed, if I'm honest.
I didn't, though. So, down Talbot Street (nice downhill bit), up Redhill Lane (bastard uphill bit), past New Swannington school (flattish), Church Lane and Thomas Road (still flattish), and up Hervey Woods (utter bastard). Two and a half miles. Nice shower and coffee though.
On we go!

Bank Holiday Monday....
Yup, so made it out for run number three of the year. It's a bank holiday, so no work, so not up early. Which was nice. Managed to get out between rain showers, too.
All good, no problems. Wanted a downhill all the way route, but had to do some uphill. Bloody laws of nature. 2.36 miles covered. Not bad.

Second day
Bloomin' glorious morning. Up and out as the sun came up, and given it's late May that gives you an idea of how early it was!
Repeat of day one in terms of pacing and intervals. Different route, enjoyed being in the sunshine so early.
Felt good, could have gone harder / longer, but sense prevailed. Sense, and the desire for coffee and a shower.

The annual restart...
Yup, it's that time of year again. Trainers dusted off, headphones charged up, pavement pounded.
Reverted - sensibly I think - to the very start of the 'couch to 5k' process again. Been lifting a lot of weights this year so far, and smashed some PRs on squat, bench press and bent-over row. That said, not so much endurance work, hence the return to running.
Bright morning, out at half past five, alternating one minute running with ninety seconds of walking. Which if I'm honest, was a nice mix!
Edit: just plotted it on Geodistance, and covered 2.62 miles. Small steps...
